Industry Advancement Award
Alberta Sugar Beet Growers is pleased to present their annual ‘Industry Advancement’ award. This honor will be given to an individual who has made an immense contribution or demonstrated extreme dedication to the sugar beet industry. Do you know of an individual who has gone above and beyond, making a tangible impact or displaying commitment to the industry?
Nominations will open at the beginning of every year, where you will be welcome to submit a person who has been a champion of the industry! The finalist will be awarded at our AGM in March.
Criteria Honours an individual that:
- Shows a commitment to the industry outside of normal farming practices;
- Has a long-term desire to advance the industry;
- Makes a sustainable and tangible impact in the region; and
- Displays a clear commitment to social responsibility
Details
- Each year, nominations will be accepted until early-February (date to be announced).
- Individuals can nominate others in the community; self-nominations will not be accepted
- This award is open to ASBG quota holders as well as other, non-quota holders who participate in the agricultural community.
- Current ASBG staff are not eligible to receive this award.

The recipient will be notified by early March and will be awarded and recognized at the Annual General Meeting.

Please note that a recipient may not be awarded each year.
Once someone is nominated, we will contact them by email. To accept the nomination, they must fill out a nominee form by a specified later date. The form includes questions about agricultural involvement, industry involvement, and community involvement.
Entries that are incomplete, late, delayed, misdirected, illegible, irregular, destroyed, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any conditions of these regulations shall be disqualified.
